You can get a chip charger and smart cards from www.solventcartridges.com.
Thats what I do anyway.
Lots of good 3rd party bulk inks out there. STS and Jetbest to name a few.

I am a little confused on going through their system to get a selection. Not sure about the type of cartridge i need and chip style. I mean i know how my ink cartridges are made now but these say for systems that use a single line from the tank to the cartridge

We switched off of Mutoh inks around 3 years ago.
You will need the NAPIS-B15 IP SC 4S. This is the 4 bulk tanks with the 4 pouch type cartridges. Do not get the float type cartridges. They work but are messy.
You may be able to find a better price through a vendor here in the US. I bought mine straight from Nite in Korea as it was cheaper even with shipping and they have great customer service. Stanley is my contact there: postmaster@nite.co.kr.

Just to clarify, the pouch type cartridge works the same way a regular ink cartridge does. It has the foil pouch on the inside but in this case it is fed from the bulk reservoir.

What ink did you end up using and have you seen any differences as far as quality or issues with machine?

We switched to STS. No problems with the inks. You shouldn't have to re-profile your printers. There were slight color changes with the STS ink but I mean very slight. Most people wouldn't notice. Where we ran into initial problems with the printers was due to the bulk systems. It took us a while to figure them out. Just make sure you follow the instructions they come with very closely. We initially used the float type cartridges and while they did work they also allowed too much air into the lines so we were constantly have to run cleanings to pull any air bubbles through the lines before printing. Once we switched to the pouch type cartridges that pretty much stopped.
