Jim is an equipment tech, specializing in flatbed cutters. He breaks down, transports, services, installs and sells used cutters and printers. He used to work for one of the bigger industry names which is where I met him years ago. He went out on his own as Tritech USA a few years ago. We had him to our facility multiple times to work on our equipment and he always did a very good job. All around, a very knowledgeable and helpful guy.
Unfortunately, James Church and Tritech USA of McRae Georgia have given me no choice but to put in him on blast. Jim stole over $10,000 from me (and from what I can see on Goggle just in the last few weeks, multiple other people as well). To make a very long story short, he sold me a used flatbed cutter and never delivered or returned my down payment. I paid him a down payment of $10,750 over two payments as we got closer to delivery date. The remaining 50% of the payment was due upon installation of a working machine. I have an official quote with terms of the sale, serial number of the machine, everything I needed to make a deal. I moved my shop around, ran lighting and got the whole area set up. Delivery day came and went, with no machine or techs showing up. This is where the excuses started. After probably 4 months of lies and excuses, I asked him to refund my money. He said he would but suprise, surprise, no money ever showed up. My lawyer sent him letters, he claims he sent a check, no money ever showed up. This all started in January and I have given him too many chances to make this right and he has done nothing but lie and give me excuses. I have 8 months of documentation to back up my claim. I hate trashing people like this but I have posted on this forum referring Jim to other people in the past so I feel obligated to let the group know that he is actively stealing money from people. Check out their google reviews over just the last 5 weeks. Please beware when dealing with him and don't give him any of your hard earned money.
PS - Please don't lecture me on used equipment. I have been buying used (and new) equipment my whole career and always had successful outcomes (no, not everything always went perfectly but everything always worked out in the end). I had an existing relationship with Jim and went through the same process I have with many other folks in the past to make sure everything was in order. It's a another of many learning experiences, just more expensive than normal. The point of this post is to make sure no one else gets scammed, OK and it feels good to make good on the promise I made to Jim that for the rest of my life I would tell anyone who listened that he screws people over.
