i recently bought a roland sc545-ex in need of repair
needs 2 heads & I imagine a head board or head board repair.
it had abruptly stopped printing yellow and black
I was told a "tech" checked the fuses and reseated all the cables.
it's generally good when people stop early in the troubleshooting process. not many of the test points are easy to get at, without making things worse
I see sign-in-china has the boards (?) for ~$499. has anyone ever bought something like this from them?
was it a happy ending?
for a little bit more I can probably buy a used one (maybe a little more than I think) from someone I trust.
better off with a known good used board?
under normal circumstances I would plan on repairing the board ourselves, but I would really like to see this thing printing
