Bypass pump?

Has anyone just bypassed their pump on a falcon and when needed just pull ink through from waste station? I have take the hoses out of my pump gears so many times that I am just sick of it..
Will what I am thinking work?

Why are you taking the hoses out? What's the problem you're fixing by doing that?

the pumps have open and closed positions. if you aren't getting a good pull just rotate the gear with fingers or a screwdriver (delicately as to not crunch something). a quarter turn is all that is needed.

The hoses get caught up in the gear.

Pumps

We now have pumps that have a thin plastic gasket that seperates the tube from the gear. We have been selling them for 10 months with no problems
