"Cam Home Error" on Edge Classic

Hi
I'm getting this "cam home error" message on my Edge Classic

i close the machine, press reset and the cam starts to pull the head down but then reverses, continues past where it should and makes a juddering sound.

can anybody help??

Fixed it!! My paperweight is now fully operational !!

Not sure exactly, I took the mother board out checked all the connections and put it back in and it worked! Bad connection somewhere??
