Can a landlord dictate who makes a tenants sign

Here is a hypothetical....

A new business opens in a strip mall, can the landlord or the person in charge require that the tenant buy the sign front one particular sign company.

I can understand requiring a particular appearance (like not putting up a banner when all the other tenants have channel letters), but if one company can duplicate the same set of channel letters, or the same sign cabinet...

As others have said, yes. In AZ we have alot of places that require Tennant's to buy from a contracted supplier. Typically it costs the Tennant twice as much because the contract holder charges more than market since they are locked in.

yes if it in the lease. it makes sense as it keeps the low ballers from putting up signs that are a fire hazard
