Changed Dampers now printing off colors

My print got lighter and lighter. I determined that it was time to change the dampers (ink starvation?) Anyway, I've changed them this morning and it is printing, but print is getting lighter and lighter (all colors) and i assume will be printing nothing soon. Is this an issue with the pump? Any help would be appreciated!

can you see ink being discharged down the waste lines, It could be the pump or the capping station is not sealing to the heads or you are drawing air (o-rings ok). did you draw ink into the dampers durring replacement?

I did draw ink into the dampers. At first it didn't want to print. But i did a cleaning 2 times and it started printing. Printed fairly good the first time (the inks were bold) but started getting lighter and lighter each time i printed. I have had to do a pull from the back for a while now to get ink into the heads. I'm just not sure what to work on first.

i had similar issue

For my problem the pump and capping station was not sealing and drawing ink. could also be clogged nozzels, try a head soak, look for other postings on how to do this

Thanks, I'll try anything at this point. I hate to buy a new printer with the economy as it is. We're not starving for work, but when this machine went down i contracted out some work to a wholesaler.....i didn't have to worry about it for a while. But i have small jobs that i hate to send out because they are not worth the $$. Plus, i hate the darn thing to beat me!
