Question I have is,

is the cleaning solution you buy in the bottle at suppliers the same type of liquid that's in the mimaki wash cartridges that fit the jv3?

My wash cartridge has clear solution and the bottle is orange solution??

each one can have a slightly different blend. they are always a blend of a ketone and a retarder. many on s101 have switched to butyl carbitol mixed with acetone. works better, stays wetter longer, cuts the ink to smaller parts, doesn't allow coagulation.

I'm not familiar with the orange solution. When we had a service tech set up our printer for us, he gave a small bottle of clear "mimaki cleaning solution 200".

He said that the official cleaning solution is mostly acetone, with some additives.

There are some pretty interesting threads about cleaning solution. I think this one is the main one:

These others are mostly referring to the above discussion:

Also, I've seen mentions and brief discussions of two other cleaning chemicals. I don't know much about either.

NMP (N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone) which Artbot mentioned in another thread:

http://www.signs101.com/forums/showthread.php?126463-Flatbed-Printer-Carriage-Soak

and MEK, which Vinylman suggested once:
