Cleaning the Rollers -VJ1604

I am looking for a good way to clean my pinch rollers. This company (a S101 sponsor) has a spray product called Roller Restorer:

Looks MUCH too strong, will probably damage the rollers rather immediately.

The rollers on the VJs dont appear to be rubber.

I would stick with denatured alcohol.

You might try a test with Simple Green, or Windex.

I usually wipe it down first with some flush fluid to remove any ink that may have stuck on in during printing and then wipe with alcohol to finish it off. Has worked pretty well for me.

I haven't had any issues so far...During cleaning there is no melting going on anywhere on the pinch rollers or their holders. I haven't lost any grip on the media.

I don't think it should be used for any kind of daily cleaning (I use IPA for that). But when you notice there is a lot of ink build up that could be causing streaking on the media then I used...That's how I solved some issues I was having with them...
