Mark, don't know of any video but here is what I do for a thorough cleaning... I use the solvent cleaner available from SignWarehouse, though the fluid from a Mutoh cleaning cartridge will work too.

1. Remove side cover - this gets you the most access to the head and capping station.

2. Select CR Maintenance form the menu. When you push start this will move the head off the capping station and park it in the middle of the machine.

3. Do your normal cleaning around the head. I typically swab across the front and back, and then clean the ramps on either side. Depending on how dirty, I might even do it twice.

4. Using a fresh swab, next clean around the capping station and then the wiper blade. Sometimes it is necessary to really work around the wiper blade as it gets very dirty after time, especially down the side near where the clips hold the blade.

5. After pushing "end" on the CR maintenance I usually pull some cleaning fluid into my syringe and do a quick head wash. When the head moves off the capping station there is usually a 5-10 second window where I squirt cleaning solution down the capping station which helps keep the drain lines clean. You can do this 2-3 times while the head is doing its wash.

Thats pretty much it. Maybe when I get slow this winter I'll record my cleaning ritual and put it on youtube.

I forgot 1 thing I have told my customers and they find very useful. Get a small flashlight. It comes in very handy when inspecting the head and maint. station for debris. I have seen a scrim hair hanging that I could not catch with the naked eye. Move the light slowly and look for hair.
