Question clear coat I KNOW FOR A FACT IT IS AQUEOUS

or so the guy from the hardware store said

trying to put a coating on something i printed on the mutoh vj-1617h (mp31 ink)

i have some clear liquid laminate from harbor (circa 2018, we never use it) so i tried the hardware store

i will order tomorrow, prefer a spray can, i suppose

SUGGESTIONS?

It's better to have two hands than one glove.
If 'mp31 ink' is solvent or ecco-solvent then you want to coat it with a water based material. Otherwise you stand a good chance of the coating interacting with the ink. You want a coating that, when dry, provides a layer of acrylic on top of your print. You won't find this at a hardware store. Get a liquid laminate, like Clear Shield 'original formula' or 'classic' or similar product at a sign supply.
