How do you make varying color swatches in adobe illustrator? I can do it in the rip but would like to be able to in illustrator.

Never go against the family
Like a range of colors from your samples? There's a bunch of different ways.
I use it occasionally to make small batches, like for color matching of range to pick from to color things. I make a bunch of square shapes, line them up horizontally, put the first color I want to use in the left one, the end color I want to blend to in the right one, select all, then in the edit menu select "edit colors" and "blend horizontally. It will automatically calculate the colors in how many steps (boxes) between the two colors.
There are other ways too, this is just one.
