Commodity Signs

Was wondering if there was a list, what would be on that list as commodity products we sign folk offer:

Example: Coroplast signs, posters, banners ?

I think you could tweak some of those products to not be commodity, if you really customize it for the customer, like building coroplast POP etc...

Wondering what your thoughts on what is commodity in our industry and what is not? What is on the verge of becoming, and what will most likely never become?

It's better to have two hands than one glove.

All signs are commodities. They are fungible in that a sign of a specific category, size, etc., is functionally identical with any other sign with the same objective attributes, and as such, is a commodity. The operative word here is 'objective'.

This always seems to annoy those that somehow think that they and their product are somehow special. They and their product are about as special as a head cold. They confuse unique with special. In an Aristotelian sense, everything in the universe is unique. Damn little of it is special.

I go now to gird by loins in anticipation of a tsunami of howling protest put forth by those who don't seem to know better. Some of them should but precious few of them do.
