Common online parts suppliers?

I'm looking to get some basic parts for our CET Q5-500 and needing some advice. First post to the forum.

We need some simple stuff like tubing, connectors, UV filters (primary and main) and maybe some ink pumps. Where have you found to be the best places on the internet to find these things? Ebay, Digiprint-supplies, Lavaparts, and some places in China are all places I've found myself. But I was wondering what the experiences have been from forum members.

We purchased the CET flatbed about a year ago directly from CET, so there is no "dealer" to go through for parts. We have been purchasing directly from CET and they are EXPENSIVE, especially for the small stuff. I've seen posts here on the forum that say to stick with parts directly from the manufacturer, but c'mon...UV tubing is UV tubing, right?

I wanted to get some filters and tubing from Lavaparts, but can't find any reviews or anything about them. Are they even a legit company? I've heard good things about digiprint-supplies and will be ordering a couple of items from them soon, unless I hear otherwise.

TIA, Chris

I've purchased a number of parts for our Agfa Anapurna via Digiprint, such as a new belt and print heads. I feel their service was outstanding, answering questions was timely. I ordered my stuff on Friday afternoon (after they had closed for the day) and my stuff was shipped on Monday, arriving on Wednesday. That was using the cheapest shipping overseas.

I've found other supplies, such as fans domestically, I use lamps from TCS with no issue.

Good luck

Chris, call us at vanguard, we will help you. BTW do not buy cheap UV tubing. I will tell you why when you call.

advantage sign supply can typically get oddball parts such as what you're talking about, they can be high on certain items though so shop what you can.

Dave has anything you need at his new company Vanguard Digital. Anything I've needed has been significantly cheaper than going through Advantage. http://vanguarddigital.com/

Thanks for the responses. Good info to follow up on.

I ordered a few small ink pumps from Digiprint Supplies last Wednesday, and they were delivered on Monday. Granted, it was a small package, but that's pretty good coming from Brussels to Kansas City area.

I also ordered a few smaller items from Wercan.com, so we'll see how that turns out.
