Contour Cut is Fine at beginning, but off at end

I am using Flexi 8.1 - Value Jet 1204 - Graphtec FC 8000.

The size of the design to be print then contour cut is 26" x 40"

When contour cutting - the leading edge seems to be lined up (not perfect, bu close), but the final edge is off my almost ¼".

I have gone through "output size compensation" in Production manager & it is right on.

I have been ruining prints. Anyone know what else I can check?

Thanks a million!

What are your rollers set at for tension? Not sure how that works on a Graphtec, but on my Mimaki...I had taken the tension down, and not really thought about it...well, I couldn't cut squat right for about a month until I remembered I had changed that. Didn't think it could effect it that much.

Hey Mike,

Is the cut longer or is the print shorter? Do you still get a variation if you cut only or print only?

Also, have you run Output Size Compensation for both the printer and cutter individually? Another potential problem we see is if you run OSC with smaller measurements than your design. For instance, if you test a 12x12", there may be a slight variation that is difficult to detect until you blow it up to a 26x40".

Another factor that may be affecting your job is that Flexi 8.1 doesn't have a driver for the Graphtec FC 8000, but Flexi 8.6 does.

I know it's a lot of info but I hope some of it helps!
