CorelDraw directly to Gerber Edge?

Hi!

Just a quick query:

We resurrected our old Gerber Edge 2 and want to know if it's possible to print directly from CorelDraw to the printer. Or do we have to buy software like Omega?

Apparently, according to CADLink, SignLab isn't compatible either without some very creative workarounds. Here's their answer:
"... (SignLab) can produce spot colours, it’s the output part via Print & Cut Manager (now Visual Production Manager) that will not output to the edge as spot colours.

You will need Omega to output spot colours from either package."

I have an Edge FX, and print to it from FlexiSign 12....using the Flexi Production manager, set it up as a 'printer'.
works about 50% of the time. VERY frustrating, some jobs run fine, others either have bizarre lines appear or simply refuse to print, with the usual inscrutable messages on the edge..."....zapper miscombobulated error 1.23-B..." and stuff like that.
just FYI, if you don't have Omega, that might be wiser than spending a lot on Flexi, but you can get a monthly subscription if you want to try Flexi...your call.
