Need Help CorelDraw to Onyx to HP Latex 800W - 3 layer color white color - gradient issues.

Hello all.
Having an issue with trying to print a 3 layer (color/white/color) gradient.

Creating 2 layers in Corel, pms solid color to clear, white layer (spot 1) follows the exact same gradient. Overprint set for both. Published to PDF.

If I put the white layer on top of the color, it prints the 2 color layers clear to solid to clear.

If I put the color layer on top, it prints the white layer clear to solid to clear.

I want both to be only solid to clear.

Anyone know what is going wrong and how to fix it?

I'm still fairly new on Onyx but trying to learn quickly. Google has turned up 0 results.

Welcome to Signs 101.

What happens if you turn overprint off on your PMS layer and make sure Spot1 layer is on top?

Have you tried using Spot Layer Tool in Onyx? Might not help/achieve what you're looking for, but thought I'd mention it.
Here's a cheesy old video about it:

Hope that helps. I feel your pain, spent many days/weeks fighting with white gradients over the years and it can be a frustrating process.

There were lots of times that we had to print things in 2 passes just to achieve what we were looking for. Print CMYK components, rewind vinyl, print Spot1 component. Try doing that manually every day on a printer that doesn't know it's own base point and you'll either go crazy or become a pro.
