if you are using a RIP to print to a large format printer it could be the rendering intents. rasters (png, jpgs, etc) most of the time are set to perceptual while vectors are set to relative colormetric or something other than perceptual. you have to change there intents to be the same.

why .png? what are you printing on, and with?
ok i use fluid mask3 and the only option in the stand alone is to save as png or gif,,i print out on a epson 3000, haven't tried to print on my roland540 through versaworks, the 3000 is set up for heat transfers..
thanks

It's better to have two hands than one glove.
Corel Draw has some real problems with transparencies sent to a printer. A color shift behind a transparency is the result. There are a couple of ways around this.

One is to do all of your bitmap overlay work in Corel Paint and import the results as cpt files. The other is to flatten transparent images in Corel Draw into a single bitmap.

Drop shadows are especially vexsome in Corel Draw. They always print with a weird color shifted rectangle. I've taken to duplicating an object, converting the duplicate to a bitmap, editing that bitmap in Paint adding a drop shadow there, separating the shadow, deleting the object, and returning the drop shadow to Draw. Clumsy but it works.
