Question Correct way to do maintanace on s-series

So the guide and video from Epson just shows the guy wiping the other edges of the print head but are we suppose to wipe in between the channels like this video here?

We get a lot of overspray between the channels, so we also clean them like this video shows. Just avoid the heads and you'll be fine.

I wipe between each channel on mine.

Okay thanks guys just wanted to double check. didn't want the cleaning solution to somehow accidently hitting the heads a bit and somehow ruining them

It's not the solution that will harm the heads. You just don't want to drag the swab across the head nozzles themselves because it can cause debris to be pushed up into the nozzles and clog them. If you accidentally swipe the head surface it's not the end of the world. You just don't want to go in there and scrub.

The cleaning solution is likely the exact same thing in the "spare" channel if you don't run metallic/white. Nothing to worry about as mentioned above.
