Custom cut aluminum plates...

Got a request from a fencing company (not the sport, but fences) to make make aluminum plates with their logo to hang on fences after a job. Small logo that has a simple contour cut around it that they want to have done to this aluminum. Suggestions? I don't know anything about cutting aluminum shapes, but I thought I could apply vinyl to large sheets of aluminum and have them stamped out. I would think it would be a headache to apply contour cut vinyl to these one at a time. I don't know where to even look for a company to custom cut these things and I'm not sure if they can do it with the vinyl already applied.

Any thoughts?

Those are generally around 2 or 3 X 12 or so. According to how many you need and how many colors..... screen printing would be my first bet. If the amount of colors add up..... digital print directly to the substrate..... or find a supplier.

If you haven't qualified the customer yet, you might want to find out what a standard rectangle with their logo on it will cost. The custom aluminum shapes will be $$. Most fence companies around here have one color aluminum with rounded or square corners and 2-4 holes punched in them.

I always hate it when the customer knows what they want but freek out at the price.
