customer complaining that the finished decal is blurry

I ran 9 decals last week for a customers client. the spec was that they wanted a removeable vinyl with a matte laminate and that is what we did. the colour was pantone 306 (light sky blue) and white with a small bit of 116 yellow.

My customer forwarded their clients email complaining that the decals were blurry. They were not blurry as we printed from an eps file but a light blue with white knockouts and matte laminate could technically have a dull look, not blurry....

I just told them if their client is not happy send them back and I would credit their account.

I have no time to deal with this BS

Are they complaining about the dot pattern?

I have clients that complain about that all the time, So I tell them step back 5' and tell me how many dots they see.

Yeah, my guess is they've got their nose 2" from the product. I also have to remind customers to look at it from actual expected viewing distance, the dot pattern is normal, blah, blah, blah.
Unless they are going to be viewing these items from a close distance, which is rare, you shouldn't have any trouble.

Now the matte vinyl can sometimes give it a bit of a fuzzy look, depending on which one you use. I know the anti-skid laminate for MacTac street wrap makes the images fuzzy, but it's a super thick textured laminate.
But again, it's probably them being super picky in unrealistic ways.

Really? The only time you could see my dot pattern is when a light blue or tan has 5-20% K/BLACK, it makes it look grainy.
If you don't mind me asking, what printer do you have and what size picoliter nozzels does it's
