Cutting Blade Sizes

I have a Roland SP-540V as well as an old Anagraph E-60 plotter...
For years I bought Roland 45* blades and used them in both machines...
Something must have changed because for quite a while now the blades no longer fit in my Anagraph...
The diameter of the blades seems to be a couple of thousandths off now...the Ana blades seem to be thinner and the Roland blades will not fit into the head......
What's up with this...??? Have any of you run into this...???

I am beginning to wonder if maybe my supplier has started buying off brand blades and maybe the tolerances are not as tight...

Okee,

Chances are that someone there IS buying off brand blades. Almost *ANY* blade that I have bought on E-Bay (cheap ones) are always well out of tolerance. In Fact I was never able to successfully order a blade to fit the stock holder in my cj500 - Even though in the "Product Description" they had them listed as the 23mm they were seldom actually that at all (.5 to 1.5 mm off) I wrote to them Griping about the loose tolerances and they answered that the blades are made by various "centers" in china and sometimes the tolerances are off.. They Recommended buying one of their Roland Compatible blade holders because it was "Fully Adjustable" for the differing Blade lengths on the inexpensive (cheap) blades they sold.

Anyhow, I ended up buying a quality blade set from these folks: https://www.cssignsupply.com/ - And they fit my OEM holder like a champ.
