Cutting master 2

Anyone using this? I had this bright idea to print crop marks with my edge then take it over to my 30in graphtec and contour cut with cutting master. Well that ain't happening! It sends something to plotter but after it does something for a few moments it errors out on me. Plotter shows on screen but noticed its greyed out but it is trying to communicate with it.

Could anyone walk me thru this? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

When I did go to the plotter settings it says graphtec driver not found but in the cut plot area the plotter shows up but like I said its greyed out

It this an Illustrator or Corel file or a Gerber file that you're attempting to cut from? Cutting Master is an Illustrator or Corel plug in, nothing else. If you're setting your registration marks in Illy and have a separate cut layer you should be good.

if you save a version of your gerber file as an eps or ai this will work.
Print the plt, and then open the ai/eps for cutting.
Good Luck!

Thanks guys. What I was trying to do was print thru flexisign to gerber edge with register marks.
Then save file as eps, bring into illustrator and contour to my Graphtec FC7000-75.
I was reading where I may have to change the plotter mode so I'll try that today although I've never had any problem sending files thru so it tells me it's its in cutting master.

Appreciate the help!

Yes to this. You have to use GP-GL interface with Illustrator and the HP-GL interface with Flexi. Go to your initial menu---->Interface---->Command and change it over

Actually Stacy I believe I read the above in one of your posts which lead me to believe I have to change it.

Thanks all! I have a few signs to get out but I will post results to help future searcher on this subject

Do you not have a 15" plotter currently working to get the best registration?
(like an envision?) You'll never get as accurate of registration from a graphtec as you get from the gerber plotter.

1st - Change our plotter language settings to AUTO
2nd - design your file(s) in Illustrator, or at least you HAVE to make the registration marks in Illustrator (with Cutting Master plugin)
3rd - print on your edge from omega (and laminate)
4th - open the cut file in illustrator, and send it to cutting master

Thank you. I do have a Gsx plotter not currently set up. I loaded omega and it screwed with my plotting to my smaller graphtec so I uninstalled it until I can mess with the rainbow driver. Everything always hits me at once. Tomorrow is suppose to be a big snow day here in Illinois so it should be pretty quiet so maybe I can get my thoughts together!
I remember seeing something about making 2 layers in ai... One cut and one print.
I'm all over it tomorrow! :)
