Cutting Phototex - small cuts possible?

Ok, so I got some sample phototex, have it working with the latex, love this stuff!

However, having issues cutting it, too deep, too shallow, just right but leaves threads behind, etc. Trying to cut small decal type stuff on a Graphtec FC8600 - any suggestions or anyone want to share their settings?

I've read that the phototex isn't good for small cuts, but I'm soooo close on getting this working that I don't want to give up now!

It's better to have two hands than one glove.
Rounding all of the corners, especially the inside corners helps a bit. You want the blade to move around each corner rather than stopping and taking a new direction. The rounding doesn't have to be much, just enough to keep the blade moving in either an arc, preferably, or at least a series of shallow angles.
