Decals on beer mugs?

We have a job to put decals on beer mugs. The logo isn't a problem since it will be one solid cut piece. On the other side we need to put lettering. These are customer supplied.

I have checked with several of our vendors and have not found a good way to do this. I was thinking of a clear decal with black lettering but can't find anyone who does this.

Thoughts on how I can accomplish this?

Is printing black ink on a clear vinyl not an option? That's something I do every week...

Our local guy doesn't do this any more. It will be on a clear mug, will it be readable? Do you have a picture of an application like this?

Be sure to consider "Dishwasher Safe".

This will be for a commercial operation and they have been warned on the care of the decals.

This in an "insane" idea.......Just order them from the likes of www.etsexpress.com

I have a large mason jar that I put some oracal 651 on as a joke. It's been through the dishwasher at least 50 times. Still stuck like chuck.

Try the same thing in a "commercial dishwasher"......Higher temperature and harsher detergents and they will come off in a few washes....And no matter what you told a client, they will not take any responsibility.....
