Dehumidifiers.

Hello all,

I find we are in need of a dehumidifier for a room 40 x 40 x 14, approx 22,400 cubic ft. When we need to bump the humidity we crank up an old "swamp chiller". Works great and is paid for. Last winter there were times we had to start both the a/c and heater (they are separate units on separate controls) to get our humidity where we needed to print. We are kings of the work around.

All suggestions for dehumidifier models or sources greatly appreciated!

red ball reason I asked this question is most furnaces remove humidity from the air!

How large of an area?

Wintertime in central Texas it is not unusual to have a 70 degree day with 70 to 90 percent humidity.

Thanks!

Dehumidifier

Red Ball,

You may want to look into commercial grade dehumidifiers typically used by water restoration companies. One company that comes to mind is Dri-Eaz, check them out here:

Thanks for the posts!
Day Sign,
I will look for Gold Star.

Ekoel,
Thanks for the referral. Those ARE the big guns. Least expensive model is 1300.00. I was hoping to find something for under 500.00.

My hope may be unrealistic for the size room we are dealing with.

I have left a message for a customer who is a head building enginneer for one of those million sq. ft. building complexes. I will report his suggestions.
