Designjet 3500 CP

Hello,

Does anyone know anything about the designjet 3500 CP 54" printer. I can get one at a great price, completly refurbished with UV ink. I am talking dirt cheap (problems at the shop (between brothers) and their liquidating everything.

I am going to be starting my own shop and will ne using it for about 6 months (planing to upgrade to eco or even latex). It will be used for Ahdhesive back vinyl, polypro adhesive back paper and scrim banners.

They are dinosaurs.
The inks and media you are talking about will be expensive.
The heads don't last more than one refill.
They can't print more than a metre or so without stopping to refill the heads, leaving a mark in your print.
If you want an aqueous HP see if you can get a 5500.

I was just researching the media and you are not kinding, it is expensive, The poly paper is going for over $1/sq.ft.

No worries. I started digital printing with one of these.
They were good in their day but that day has passed.
