Did Solvex Change their 30/70 Perf Pattern?

Just opened two new boxes of Solvex perforated vinyl from Fellers. Both boxes are marked 70/30 perf pattern but the patterns look different from my old Solvex 70/30 vinyl.

Does anyone know if Solvex changed their perf pattern? Or perhaps they shipped me a mismarked box.

It almost looks like 50/50 but I've compared it to some 50/50 and it doesn't match that exactly either.

eww... solvex

Under the right circumstances it's not that bad actually. We have a fairly large installation of Solvex 50/50 that's been up for going on 5 years now and it looks as good as it did the day it was installed.

We've had perf last years like that and we've had it start looking bad within a year across all brands. I've had Solvex outlast 3M, Orajet and Clearfocus perf and I've had "high-end" brands outlast Solvex. Not saying it's the best stuff out there but it's really not as bad as some people make it out to be.

Always a product critic Coloradosigns...Very helpful yet again...

All you need to know is that solvex is garbage. The stuff burns in like 3 months, and isn't worth the money. That's helpful enough to save you some time, money, and maybe some customers.

Yeah, i joke. But i'd say about 95% of my posts are me trying to help or suggest things to people. Thanks for keeping track though
And, hold on, i don't think i've seen you throw in one helpful suggestion in a year now.hmmmm

thanks my later.

I have had good luck with solvex perf and lamex lam combo. I had some advertising on my rear quarter windows for about 6 months and it looked and held up great. I took it off to change the advertising on my vehicle.

Perhaps you should try searching Colorado...

Most recently I chimed in to offer a suggestion regarding cast laminates... In that post you slammed me for using Lamex... http://www.signs101.com/forums/showthread.php?t=87241

and here you slam Solvex...and basicly the user (me) for being stupid enough to use Solvex)...

I'm just bored with generic negative statements toward people and/or products without backing it up. And even then - That's "your experience" and that's not proof that any particular product is completely bad nor the person who happens to be using it...Follow the link for a perfect example of what I'm talking about.

I've found the same to be true...Also, I think it's easy to stress the edges of the perf enough for it to recoil down the road.

.
Our local rep for Fellers says the stuff is made by ClearFocus for Frank to put his label on it.

It seems to work really well on flat window wrap situations. It's a calendared vinyl, so one wouldn't expect it to work too well in more complex situations.

Wow. That's interesting. I've had good luck with it and it removes well too, even after 2-3 years. That's almost as important as how it goes on in my business (bus advertising / bus wraps).

I typically laminate it with a Lamex optically clear lam.
