Duct tape fix (aka church wth?)

I wish I had snapped a photo the other day of this truck I saw. It was a pest control guy that had his car magnets duct taped to the sides of his truck doors. Strangest thing I have seen. Guess he didn't want them getting blown off.

slippery: thats funny you mentioned that... we have a customer that we have done vehicle graphics for in the past... he purchased a new van, and wanted to have magnets made so that he could go "stealth" when he wanted to... we advised him against it, going into NYC and the regulations and such....1st time in, got pulled over at the bridge ...and was told by the law that he needed permanent lettering, not magnets.... so he goes in the back of his van, grabs a roll of duct tape, and tapes them on!! tells the cop... now their permanent... needless to say the cop wasn't amused and Wham... 3 tickets for other violations, and one for improper vehicle lettering!! ...also had the B*lls to ask us to take the price of the magnets off of the lettering price because he had something like $1000.00 in tickets now!!! we didnt, but did take into consideration that he was a loyal customer, and charged with a slight discount.... some people

no need to change him for new lettering, just go get the strongest epoxy you have around put them on the mags and slap them on the van problem solved

Why do people do things backwards or take the easy mickey mouse fix.

yeah ... that was what we tried to explain... a few pennies saved today, cost a bunch more tomorrow ( for him literally) at one point he even asked if we could take the print off the magnet and just apply it to the door!! seriously... we probably could have got it off, but we all know that it would look like poop!!
