I would assume the aluminum skin on the outsides of the sheets like Alucobond will expand and shrink at a different rate than the solid plastic middle. Why does this not affect the bond? What keeps the skins glued to the plastic? Has anyone seen these materials de-laminate?
I've been using ACM since it became readily available and I've never seen any of the brands de-laminate. Going from the low end (alucobest, polymetal) to high end epanel and dibond, I've never had an issue. How or why the sandwich stays together doesn't really concern me.
maybe it is like concrete and steel that expand and contract at the same rate. I too have been using dibond and alumalite for years and have never seen it de-laminate
