Hello ,
I' ve been printing for 19 month now .I started with older roland sc500 and
last November I've bought a mutoh VJ1604 (used)
It was printing great till last night.
First I received error (C) not original.
I went ahead and pickup new cart Of cyan (mutoh co sol ink).
After I installed cart and start printing I heard like printer pulled media and another error was on the screen..E071 Err PF curent
I had to restart printer , and printer ran cleaning cycle.
Quality of the print went down (lots of waves, banding).
I cant have it to print right and E071 error showed up a few times again.
Any advice will be more than welcome.I have a few orders to finish but...
Thanks

Check and clean the pf encoder.
Check the pf belt.

Check the grit roller and make sure it doesnt have media jammed in it and rolls freely.

Thanks for the reply, I did check encoder wheel, belt and everything seemed
fine but I cleaned Encoder with swab and alcohol.
Did not make any difference.
:thankyou:

OK, here is an update.
This morning I took side cover of and cleaned Encoder Wheel again, and belt was kind of to close to the edge on the big pulley , so I moved it bit to the center.
Start printer, no more E071 Error.
Now I have a bit more visible wavy lines on the print.
Is there anything I could do to eliminate them ?
All the nozles fire 100 %.
Please be patient with me.
I'm aware I have a lot to learn.
Thanks:thankyou:

PF Adjustment
1. Click Menu and Select Media Type
2. Select PF Adjust
3. Select Initial Print
4. Select 300mm
5. Printer will output black horizontal and line, then feed the media and print a second black line.
6. Measure the distance between the two black lines.
7. Select Initial Change
8. Insert value that you measured and then Enter.
9. Select Confirm Print
10. Machine will output 2 Red lines.
11. Measure and confirm that the distance between is 300mm. If not, then adjust your value under Initial Change menu.

Note: If you're unsure if the value stuck or not, go back to Initial Change to make sure that your value is still there. Also, make sure that you select the same media type otherwise your values will not be used.

Hope this helps.
