Hi all,
Any help you can provide on this one will be greatly appreciated. Our Epson 9880, which used to work flawlessly, has suddenly failed to power up. The AC power input is good and so is the fuse on the power supply board. Moveover, the low voltage power supply, which powers the logic and normally stays on after the machine is powered down, appears to be functioning normally because the chips on its heat sink are warm to the touch.
My understanding from the service manual is that the other two power supplies (24 and 48 VDC) are controlled by the system board and not by the power-on switch.
Any idea what to do here to troubleshoot or fix this? I'd love to get a schematic of the power supply board but none appears to be available.
Thanks,
Dave
