Falcon Outdoor JR. No yellow!

Having an issue with my jr printing yellow. Last week the printer stopped printing yellow because the yellow cart ran out of ink, no big deal just replaced with a full cart and on my way.
Now this week I can get no yellow to print at all and I can pull yellow ink from where the line connects to the damper but it seems to have a vacuum on the line. When I reconnect it to the damper it draws the little bit of ink that is in the damper out of it back into the line.

Could this be a bad cartridge or something?

Sounds like an empty cartridge.

Cartridge wasn't empty, but there was air in the line. I figured that much out and now find that there was a hole in one of the lines in the pump, ink everywhere, and now the gear shaft that drives the pump is stripped. Where is the best place to get such a thing?

Transmission gear is what it is called, not available separately...so either I spend $800 for a new maintenance station or find someone to make me a new gear for the end. I'm thinking the latter.
