First Wrap Attempt- I Only Have 1 Question

I'm ordering Some Oracal 3951RA tomorrow for my first attempt at a partial wrap (on my company vehicle)
My question is:

Wouldn't laminating a rapid air release type media make it so it would no longer be rapid air release since the laminate would seal it?
Or is the Oracal 290 recommended because it to, has an air release feature? (the specs on the Oracal site do not mention this)

Or if I only plan to have the wrap on for two years, is it worth laminating?

Printing With A Roland SP-300V (eco-sol ink)
Laminating with a big 'ol squeegee.
Thanks, and sorry for what may be a dumb question.

Putting on any vinyl without lamination is a pain in the butt. Makes it nearly impossible to put on.

Laminate with a squeege?

Air release just means channels in the glue under the vinyl. Lamination is only on the top.

Maybe I am not understanding.

No, you are understanding just fine.
I see what you mean. I was under the impression that the vinyl itself is gas permiable. But those little channels are to help air escape out the edge as the vinyl is being squeegeed on to the surface.

I Think I get it now.
