Fish eyes in red and green

I am having a strange problem where I get what looks like fisheyes in
some colors- always reds and some greens but not in yellow or black or
most other colors. I have tried 4 different rolls and types of media. Changed
filters (bulk ink system on VP540), captops, wipers and I have dampers
coming but I don't have much hope for that. If I print the pure cmyk fill
test pattern from the service manual it get fisheyes mostly in the magenta-
less so in the cyan and none in black or yellow. Any thoughts please- I have
been fighting this for a couple days- some things will print perfectly and others (especially red) will fisheye. The test print on the heads is always
perfect- machine is four years old and a workhorse. Thanks Gene

posting pics might help some, help you. My thoughts on this problem relating to only green and red, may be the linearization (laying down too much ink) of those two colors. check heat settings when this happens also. i first thought contamination, but it only happens to the two colors and you have tried different materials. how humid is your shop?
