Flexi 8.6 Win 7 64bit Production Manager Hangs at "Processing"

I've got a tech here working on Printer and I've installed Flexi on a new computer to troubleshoot. Never run it on Win 7 before.

When I send a job to Production Manager It just hangs at "Processing" in the Status Column. Doesthe same thing If I just try to send the test print built into Production Manager.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

We don't have a high enough version number to be running in a 64bit environment, but in my experience, I've only really had to deal with the infinite processing problem upon reinstalling after a reformat. Takes me a while to remember that the newer Firewire drivers don't do anything for my system, and backtracking actually solves the problem.

So I'd say try giving a few older drivers a shot. If that fails, do you have the latest HASP drivers for your hardware key? Also, if you connect your printer via USB, you may need to update your USB drivers to properly deal with the 64bit architecture, though I don't know if that would lead to the processing issue, or just a communication issue in general.

I haven't seen this issue myself on our systems but I would imagine this is a driver issue really. Did you download all the latest drivers for your chipset from your computer manufacturer (or motherboard manufacturer) website? Did you install a Windows print driver to run whichever printer you are trying to connect to? Did you try using the built-in drivers from Flexi within Production Manager to set up your printer or is it the Windows driver as mentioned above?

Fixed it. Got on the phone with Flexi and they saw that it was a Beta Build # for. He said that was not right so They sent me a link to the newest build. while I was downloading that I did a full re-install and then it said Build # 1465 and it worked fine. Weird deal. Those were the same discs I used on a XP machine and it was fine the first time.

Thanks for the replies.
