Flexi Production Manager Error Message

The hard drive in my production computer crashed the other day requiring me to reinstall flexi 8.1. I believe I have all the settings correct but I keep getting a "caught exception, error code -6" when sending a file to rip and print. My printer is a Mutoh 1204.

I have attached a screen shot of the error message, as well as the printer and network ip settings. I am able to successfully ping the printer through the command prompt.

The operating system is windows 7 and I have avg anti-virus installed. The same setup was working fine for over a year before the crash.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hey Jim, Thanks for the info. Couldn't find anything specific in the knowledge-base. I purchased the printer/cutter/software from SW in 2007.

I contacted flexi support and shared the problem explained above, the following was the response I received:

"Unfortunately Flexi 8.1 is only compatible with Windows, therefore Flexi 8.1 will either not run on Windows Vista or Windows 7, or it may not perform properly on Windows Vista or Windows 7 which seems to be your case.

I would suggest you to either use Flexi 8.1 with an older computer that has up to Windows XP, or upgrade to a newer version of Flexi compatible with your new operating system.

You can upgrade Flexi by contacting your local dealer, or our main distributor Graphicx Direct at 714-428-0060.

Is this guy serious? Makes me wonder if he even read the question, I explained that the same exact setup was working fine for over a year until the reinstall. Any Ideas?

I'd try Win 7 32-bit. I use that and never have trouble running any software. Just guessing. Our techs know for sure.
