Flexi, SCSI and Vista

So I'm running flexi 8.5 on windows xp and my motherboard goes out. My Seiko printer is connected using an Adaptec SCSI card. I'm trying to transfer the program and printer to a Vista machine but can't seem to get the computer to notice the printer. Vista has drivers for the card so I don't think that is the problem. Flexi is asking that a ASPI layer be installed but Adaptec ASPI is only compatible up to Windows XP. I can't seem to install it on the Vista computer. Anybody have any suggestions? Does anybody have the Seiko Colorpainter running on Vista?
