I have had this problem ever since I installed a new black printhead and a new maintenance station. Sometimes, several black jets are not firing. Doing a normal or powerful cleaning of the black printhead just makes things worse. So, I would connect a syringe to the black ink drain line and pull some ink. This usually gets all jets firing properly. But, sometimes I can not pull any ink. I get a good vacuum, but can not pull any ink or any air. So, just for the heck of it, I moved the carriage to the left, away from the capping station, and tried the syringe again. Still nothing. I can not even pull air through the cap. If I push hard I can push air up trough the cap. Also, when I do a normal or powerful black head cleaning, no ink goes out the waste ink line. I am almost certain that there is nothing wrong with the black head, damper (which is also new), or the ink line. Why does the syringe pull nothing--no ink and no air? And, why does a cleaning not pull any ink through the head and into the waste ink bottle? Any suggestions will be appreciated.
