Not sure if this has been posted and answered or what, but I have 2 other questions..........

  1. In the 'New Posts' or 'What's New ?' section, why does that keep updating ?? Sometimes it has 30 or 35 posts and sometimes only 12 or 15. Is there any reason ??
  2. I tried editing a post of mine and it just sat there after clicking on it. Is there something else I need to do ??

:thankyou:

1. New Posts keeps updating just as the Recent Threads keeps updating ... when new posts that you haven't read. What's New has the capability of showing more than just new posts. Blogs, articles, etc. which are not currently turned on. Frankly I don't use the New Posts feature much at all. Nor do I use the Today's Posts feature. this is because the Recent Posts module does the same job and it's already there. They are all a means to the same end and are somewhat redundant.

2. Replying to a post is a little bit different now. There is Quick Reply and there is Advanced Reply. Both these were there in the old setup. When you clicked on the reply button it took you into Advanced Reply automatically or you could just click your cursor into the Quick Reply and go from there. The new setup has a different priority in favor of the Quick Reply. Now clicking reply simply puts you into the Quick Reply box and a separate click is required to move you into Advanced Reply mode. I preferred the old way because you have all the control buttons available such as what's needed to attach a pic. The only way to default to the Advanced Reply mode seems to be to turn off the Quick Reply altogether ... which some members didn't like when I had it setup that way.

Fred - the only reason I asked about quick reply was because in the last version of s101 you didnt have to click anything, it was right there to begin with. now that we have to click anyways, might as well just make it click to the advanced right off the bat since you have to click anyways?

edit: editing works for me, Gino :thumb:

What Browser & version is it that your using?

Older browsers such as IE7/8, you can try using "Compatibility Mode", to see if that corrects the issue.

I would suggest if your using a older browser, upgrade it or use Chrome/FF instead.

Not sure if something was clunking around in the background and I couldn't edit, but I can now do it. I wanted to add something and no matter how many times I hit 'edit' it wouldn't let me.

Thankayou !!
