Hello all, I am pretty new to wide format printing and machine.
I have a Mutoh VJ1324.
Bought it used, had been sitting for one year, fully expected it would need TLC.
All lines flushed and cleaned, maintenance station fully serviced, sent the print head out to get professionally cleaned, installed new dampers. Once installed, performed initial ink charge with new ink cartridges. Can physically see the ink flowing through all the lines and coming out of the maintenance / dump station.
We try to do a test print from the machine but nothing is printing.
Made a simple test file in Flexi and tried to print that, but the machine is printing anything.
We have double checked the ribbon cables and they seem to be well installed and connected.
We have checked the printhead fuse on the main board, tested for continuity using multimeter, tested ok.
We are be no means experienced with these types of printers but we are fair handy, hahaha.
It seems like the printhead is not receiving "signals" or "power" to be able to "fire" if that makes sense??
Is there any way of testing for something link that, rather than just starting to replace parts?
If not which parts would should a guy begin with, Ribbon cables? main board? or...?
Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated?
Thanks,
Jules
