Gr2-540 setup problem

Hello! I just received my roland GR2-540, and finished installing it on versaworks (v. 6.17.0).

I am however not able to drag and drop a printed file from any of my printers queues to my plotter’s queue. (Ex: a print only file with versawork’s crop marks from my vg2, that I want send over to be cut in my GR2)

When i hover the job over the GR2’s cue, it shows a warning saying « drop the image file or the job subjected to RIP by the printer here »

I used to be able to do this exact procedure with my old plotter/versaworks. Did I overlook a step in the installation procedure?

until I can figure it out, I have a pretty expensive drying rack!

You can't drop the JPEG file you are trying in the screenshot. The file must be ripped by the printer and will be indicated with the printer/checkmark icon.

when we add a device (printer) in flexi, it asks if we want to install a "desktop driver" as well as the rip
perhaps you did something like that & chose " print" & not "rip & print"
some preferences need to be chosen, before you can drg & drop
