Graphtec/Gerber Omega Communication error

Seems like I picked a bad day to try and install my CE-5000.
All local techs are gone for the holiday. Need a little help . . .

Trying to get my Omega 2.6 to communicate with the CE-5000 via
the USB port. I have my other plotters set up via com-1

When I try and send the file to plot, I keep getting a comminications error.

Anyone out there have an idea on what to look for? I have the plotter set for HP-GL.

Thanks!

The USB driver at the Gerber site is for their plotter.P2C?

Is there a driver (USB) for Graphtec?

Not really sure where to look. . .

Try the gerber driver, you can always un-install it. My Edge & plotter have drivers that came with the USB cables I don't think it matters what plotter you are using

Right click on the the plotter on GQMGR and go to properties... USB info should be check if you are going via usb and there should be a spot to click on LIST.... Under here you can see if you are pointing at the correct usb device and not the usb dongle or something else. Highlight the correct one and hit ok and then you should be able to send to your plotter.
Hope this helps...

FINALLY . . . Got it to work !!

Case,

In the properties/list of GQMGR, I had to click on the USB printing support at the bottom and save in preference.

Thanks!!
