The GX-640 says that is a front or back loading machine- how does that work?
I would have to put it in a place that would be hard to load a 54" roll. Thanks
Gene

Gene,
It's a driver setting. There's a checkbox in the driver that says "Front loading"
When this box is checked the cutter performs all its functions from the front of the machine. The media loading brackets can be installed on the front of the machine as well.
So... with that setting the machine runs backward? How hard is it to visually
align it on the 'back' side? I am 5'8" (and shrinking) and my daughter is 5'.
Thanks Gene

The factory orientation of the machine is to assume that the roll of media is in the rear. With the front loading box checked, it assumes all media is loaded from the front. This can be confusing to some users because the machine rolls the vinyl in different directions than they might be accustomed to. Your height shouldn't be a factor in operation.
