GX24 Maintenance

I have a Roland GX 24. We have used it a lot over the last year. Today when cutting some detailed designs about 8 feet long the vinyl would walk to the edge after a bit of cutting and would no longer be under the rollers and mess up the cut. Also have noticed that when I can finish the cut some of the cuts aren't lining up and are off about 1/16 th of an inch. Guessing that something is worn out from use. I can't see anything obvious. Where do I start to look?

It's often a combination of small things that hamper alignment on longer runs.
-Clean your pinchroller wheels.
-Make sure your cutter strip is in good condition. Particularly If you do a lot of small work, it may be cut up pretty good on the one end.
-The blade holder does have a bearing race in it and goes bad periodically, but this is a seperate issue from tracking and shows itself with wobbly cutting strokes.
-Optimize your cutting downforce. Using the least amount needed will help.
-Optimize the alignment of the media. Pull half the length of the 8 feet of vinyl through, drop the pinch rollers and then back it up to your front edge and check where you are.
