Hairs on printer head

On the head of my ValueJet I can see little fibers. I don't want to damage the head so what is the best solution to get them off & the head cleaned.

If the cleaning sticks (swabs) don't do the job, get a good flashlight and a large set of tweezers. And don't let the cat play on the printer. I had the same problem with some cheap banner material. Just kidding about the cat.
