Hard time with gradients

Hello all

can anyone help me out i am having a Hard time with gradients
I have a sqare that shades from cobalt blue to intence blue i make sure it is all spot colors but for some reson it always waht to print in 4 colour prosece
i am trying to print on a gerber edge

In omega 1.56 I have to have a gradient of spot color from 100% - 0%, then another of the same shape on top set to overprint with the other spot color going from 0% - 100%

That is exacly how i have it setup in flexi 8 i am starting no to like flexisign 8 for the edge i think i am going to go back to omega 1.5

Do you have the Gradient Color Mode set to Spot Colors?

Select "print spot colors only" in your rip.
