Having problems cutting sm letters on 3551RA

I am gettin' cranky trying to cut 1.5 inch script with an outline out of 3551RA
with 210 lam- the cuts are 'jerky' and the sharp corners lift the vinyl and
skip a bit even after rounding the corners. This company orders tons of these
and they are tough to weed. I am thinking it is the rough texture of the backing
paper and the fact that the vinyl does not adhere to the backing as strongly
as a non RA vinyl. Anybody have anything to share? Thanks Gene

I think you hit the nail on the head. If we are cutting small or thin lettering we never use RA vinyl.

Wrap vinyl with Air-egress liners like Oracals Rapid Air and 3M's Comply don't cut text well and aren't designed for that. It's possible but troublesome especially when application tape doesn't stick well and curls off the liner.

New blade, check the cut strip for wear, use a 60 degree blade, slow the cut speed... if these don't help...change media type (non-RA)

Just to close this out- I have been printing a block of color- dry/laminate and
cut on my Summa T750- cuts/weeds perfectly. I believe that it is a drag-knife
problem as I have similar problems with sharp corners on my Gerber enVision
at times (with Gerber 220). I have a new blade and blade holder in the VP BTW.
