When looking at the head it has large ink splatter on it....?? How do I clean that and could that be affecting my print?

Any thoughts?

Where is the splatter?

It it is on the nozzle plate it could affect your printing.
It it is on the side, it can probably be cleaned up with some denatured alcohol.

I'm assuming then you mean the bottom of the head which contains the nozzle plate.

If you have dried ink over the nozzles, you should be missing nozzles or misdirected nozzles in your nozzle check.

Either way a head soak is the safest way to remove ink from the bottom of the head.

Thx. Although, I'm not sure what "Uncap the head" is....or how to do it?

You uncap the head by releasing it from the capping station.
There is a plunger mechanism that keeps the head locked on the capping station.
It is located on the left side of the carriage.
Push the plunger down and the head releases.
