Hey Mike-

I may have had the same issue a couple of years ago. Did you let the headwash run completely through the cycle? When I first bought mine, I ran a headwash and put the ink cartridges back to early. I don't have my manual here at home, but if memory serves me correctly I think you need to pull the cleaning cartridges and let the remaining cleaning fluid drain. I could be off base, but that is my recollection. Good luck.
